At Tiny Seeds Preschool, mealtimes are about much more than eating. They are a valuable part of the day where children develop independence, confidence, and important life skills in a relaxed and nurturing environment.

Open Snack Time

We provide an open snack session, allowing children to choose when they would like to enjoy their snack within a set time period. This approach supports independence and decision-making, while helping children learn to recognise their own needs.

An adult is always present during snack time to encourage conversation, social interaction, and communication skills. These moments also provide opportunities for learning through everyday experiences, including counting, sharing, and exploring concepts such as quantity and turn-taking.

Mealtimes bring children and adults together to share food, enjoy meaningful conversations, and build positive relationships. We create a calm and welcoming atmosphere where children feel comfortable, valued, and included.

Packed Lunches

Parents are kindly asked to provide a healthy packed lunch each day in line with our Healthy Eating Policy. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children attending the preschool, all packed lunches must be nut-free.

We are committed to promoting healthy eating habits and helping children develop a positive relationship with food from an early age.
